New Stage: Forest of Illusion

This stage is located in the Forest of Illusion. It was actually the 5th area Mario had to cross in SMW, during his journey through Dinosaur Land. In the game, Forest of Illusion was ruled by Roy Koopa. This stage is composed of several areas: two long ground areas on each side of the stage, three small ground areas in the center, separated by pits, and various platforms hovering above.

On each side of the stage, there is a long, flat ground area. These areas seem to be good places to fight on, but there is a little problem: as you can see on the map, there are big trees in the foreground, and their large trunks are hiding some parts of the stage. Therefore, it's not always easy to see what's going on, since the trees may hide your opponents, or even dangerous items such as Bob-Ombs. Watch out!!

In the center of the stage, there are three small areas. There are thin trees in front of each one, but they are not as annoying as the big trees. As you can see on the map, it's rather risky to stay onto these areas, since there are many pits in which you can easily fall. Three wooden platforms are hovering above the battlefield. They are flat and rather long, thus you can fight on them without any problem.

Sometimes, Goombas and Bob-Ombs trapped inside bubbles will float across the stage. If you hit or even touch the bubbles, they will pop and the enemy inside will fall onto the ground. Goombas will just walk around as they did in SSBM's Mushroom Kingdom (Adventure Mode), slightly damaging the players. Bob-Ombs will also start walking around, and will explode after five seconds. Watch out!

Excellent!

I just think Bob-ombs both should behave exactly like regular Adventure Mode enemies once they hit the floor, but that's just my personal taste. Other than that, I like this one, and I bet if they introduce a new SMW stage, it will have a normal overworld BGM (or a mix of it with the one you show) as opposed to the athetic one from SSBM's Yoshi's Island stage.

Cool. I like the idea of straying from the Mario stages which is mainly built up from the recognizable/first levels of the Mario series. Also, the Forest of Illusions is one of my favorite SMW worlds and would work nicely in Smash.

When Blah1 and Soda Popinski submitted this location at SBO Forums, I remember commenting that a Wiggler cameo would be really nice here. I still think so, but I don't think there's place for him in a layout like this one.

@ Kriven, thanks for your approval!!! Indeed, the Forest of Illusion has a pretty unique background.

@ Johans, that's a nice pic, I'm going to add it!! I will also change the date, though it's not very important. As for Wiggler, I don't know how he could appear in this stage. In the background, maybe.

In SMW world, wiggler just walked around. But if you touch him, he gets mad and turns red which makes him go faster. You could only kill him with a star or shell.

I know that, I've played SMW. But adding Wiggler as a regular enemy that appears randomly on the battlefield is not a good idea.

And you could also throw Goombas at him ;D (they were grabbable in SMW oddly enough).

Now, I could say that you could let Wiggler in as a character and that'd kill the entire problem, but I don't think anyone's willing to let that hapen.

Don't allow your love of Wiggler to clog your thinking. The stage isn't built for Wiggler.
