Name: Whistle From: SMB3 i52.photobucket.com/albums/g5/monith/smb3_whistle.gif?t=1167671260(upper right corner in pic) Effect: when grabbed, press A (or whatever button is used on the Wiimote) and your character will blow this whistle. A medium sized tornado (the size of the tornados from Hyrule Castle(from SSB)) appears on the opposite side of the stage that you're on. It moves torward you and disappears when in contact with your character. Any opponents caught in it's path will thrown. The higher their damage is, the farther they are thrown. The tornado does not go up the platforms. EXAMPLE: on Termina's Great Bay, if the tornado starts on the turtle, goes down the shell, gets on the first platform, it will then just disappear because of the water. It wouldn't go up onto the platform above: EXAMPLE OVER. BTW, when thrown, it does 20% damage. *starts baking cookies*

Good! But couldn't you keep running away from the tornado, so it would stay longer? It should have a time limit.

Not sure if this should instead refer to its TLoZ counterpart origin ( the Recorder, 1987) which wasn't hidden/optional to collect, sounded the same, and also triggered a tornado that warped you to other places (some believe that the tornadoes in the Hyrule Castle stage from SSB are a reference to the ones summoned by the Recorder). The Recorder has somewhat been retconned lately, though, in the form of the Ocarina of Wind from TLoZ:TMC which sounds the same as the Recorder and the Whistle, and summons Zeffa, a bird like the one you call with the Flute from TLoZ:ALttP. The idea of this item is okay.

Ansur: Yes you can do that.
Johans: Well, they are both the same. They do the same things.
Kriven: What is? The damage dealing or the flinging part?

The fact that a giant tornado appears

So are you saying that you want it not to be giant?

I think it should be more like an homage to the tornadoes of Hyrule Castle, maybe temporarily placing those on random platforms about the stage.

I don't like that idea, plus it's nothing at all like it's effect in the game.

I think it should be as big as the tornadoes in Hyrule Castle in SSB64
