What's the official name?

I don't think it has one

Me neither... It doesn't appear in the instruction booklet, so if it was ever officially named, then it was in the strategy guide for the game or briefly mentioned inside the game. This FAQ gives it a name, though. It isn't hard to miss if you played the game. Now that I think about it, it could as well become a Down Smash Attack.

Problem: I've never played the game.

Oh, I was thinking you were talking about his charged attack (the one the FAQ calls Super Spin).

Charging up a Spin? When can you do that?

And further, can I get a movie with him doing the "Super Spin?"

Charging up a Spin? When can you do that? Read "Super Spin" in the FAQ. Also, if this doesn't work, another alternative is the Oranges, which I don't like because it's not exclusive to Diddy Kong. As for the existing move names, in case you don't want to stick with the "Konga" word, remember the guitar attack was called Guitar Gazump.

I vehemently hate the oranges, so I decline.
Oh, I know that. I just detest the word "Gazump."

Diddy Kong also has a charge he performed in DK64. It's called the Chimpy Charge and it works like Wario's body slam from the Wario Land games.

Like Wario's Arm Ram? If so, I decline, as I wouldn't be able to work out a Down-B out of it, and I'm not scrapping the Cartwheel, which I can say the same for.

Diddy Kong also had this move called Simian Spring, which makes him bounce on his twisted tail, just like a Spoink or Grumpig from Pokémon. I guess this is more similar to that horrible stomp thing.

If you're as vehemently against Stomp as I am against the Oranges, then I doubt Simian Spring's a good plan.

The "stomp" was a decorative feature in DKC. Simian Spring is a technical move used to reach high places. Oranges are an attack themselves.
Another thing Diddy Kong was able to do is use a stereo that played rap music.
