Charizard was wanted for both of the previous SSB games and he's also one of the most recognizable characters in the Poke'mon series. He was also the most treasured card in the original card series.

Charizard= starter starter for Brawl = eRrOr (I should make a topic about this or something) You can do that but it won't change the fact that I don't mind starters (or their evolutions) as playable characters. Anyways. I have two concerns. 1) Ember. COME ON! Flamethrower, man! That's the move he's most famous for! 2) Fire Spin. I dunno, there's just something about it that I don't like.

I thought about Flamethrower, but I didn't want to rip-off Bowser. I guess I can change it though. As for Fire Spin, I'll see what I can do.

About the submission,it's good, but like Shrikeswind said,Flamethrower would be better.

No, I'm not saying that it is wrong to submit starters. You can submit whatever you wish
I'm just disagreeing to his comment

I totally believe in what you said about Charizard being wanted in the past two SSB games. Now Blaziken tops the lists, and some can even argue that Blaziken is more of a fighter than Charizard. I didn't go to many SSB-related message boards around 2002 or the beginning of 2003, but I bet Typhlosion would have been a favorite as well. I don't need a Xatu to foresee Goukazaru as a candidate in America when Diamond and Pearl come here in the next months. I'm not talking about everybody changing their preferences to a new Pokémon starter. Many people might perhaps stay in love with one of them even if time passes; I guess that's the case of many of us. Charizard= starter starter for Brawl = eRrOr (I should make a topic about this or something) And I shall support it if you ever make it. 2) Fire Spin. I dunno, there's just something about it that I don't like. I also feel that. This is not that bad if Kriven is sticking to the animé, though (Charizard did use it once, right? ). Again, Kriven, go look a current available move list for Charizard if you think it's needed. Another source for Pokémon moves, abilities, or their interpretation can also be the Trading Card Game. Don't fear to use it while it doesn't lose some sort of relation to the RPG moves.

Doesn't matter for two resons: 1) There is way more then one Charizard. 2) Pokeballs Pokemon have been known to change through the games. Beedrill became Unknown. Hitmonlee became Scizor, it's possible Charizard could become Typhlosion or maybe even Charmeleon. On that end, even changing the type could happen. Example: Instead of a Fire-type with Flamethrower, he could be replaced by Dragonite, using Dragon Breath, or even alter it further, Trapinch with Sand Attack.I support Typhlosion as well, but I don't think I'll be submitting him. Need more variety in the Pokemon's elements.

Good submission Kriven! Charizard is indeed a popular Pokémon, and he deserves a role in Smash Bros.

Growl I don't really like, either. Yet again, not quite him. Smokescreen, I suppose, could do the job, or Blast Burn, but Growl not so much.
Come to think, Blast Burn could be his Extreme and Dragon Rage his Down-B. Just a thought.
