As some of you may know, Josh has had SBO on Maintenance Mode for a long time. Finally, now that Brawl has come out, he has shut it down. This is the end of an era, and the dawn of a new. Some of us may not celebrate Easter, as it is a Christian holiday and it is possible that not all of us are Christian, however, there is an eerie connection, as at the time of posting, it is Easter, the day when Christ was reborn all those centuries ago. The fall of SBO marks a new chapter in our presence on the Internet, where we rise up from the crumbled heap that was formerly the glory of SBO and build anew. This is SBL, the forebearer of all that SBO had to offer. We shall expand from where SBO had reached, in both our own honor and the honor of our memories. And, if you're interested, here's what he said.

I can't believe nobody commented.
I have to get a lot off my chest about SBO, mainly the way Josh run it. See, the initial concept of submitting characters was cool. It was the draw of the site and was the reason most people came there if not only to just discuss Brawl. Josh had something but he really didn't run with it. It was maybe seven or eight months of updating before he disappeared, and he had hundreds of members. Even without the admin there, the members still continued posting, keeping the forum alive, and very fun. Although looking at it's later days it just looked like a spam forum, in it's prime SBO was the most fun forum experience I've ever had, full of fun personalities and it was the only time EVERY single member who mattered on the SBO family tree was there at once. I still miss seeing people like 3D, Fire Fox, Kong, Rukario, Extrassi, and many others.
Now, that doesn't mean I wanted SBO open. At the time, Josh had really been quite annoying, and had brought tons of trouble to the forum. All the vets and even some who joined late have fond memories of YTMND raids constantly. The raiders were so used to the innocent members that they knew (check Josh's wikia page on YTMND) that we were frustrated with Josh, and if Josh wasn't there, they would stop raiding SBO in it's late stages. The main thing that people wanted to end was Josh's immaturity. Despite the raiding, Josh continued to feed his machismo and even asked members to volunteer to make YTMND-dissing YTMNDs, and to raid their forums, despite YTMND being much bigger and having WAY more security. When members disagreed with Josh he almost took it as if they sided with YTMND and against him, and all of us being so enraged as him was why he closed the forum the first time.
Again, even though I wanted it closed, I'm frustrated with it's re-opening and last moments. I shall further explain why. First, Josh opened SBO again thanks to Dill and his persuading. Well done on Dill's part. It went as far as Josh saying he would give the forum over to a new admin (contenders were Dill and Johans) in June. But when June rolled around, instead he just deleted the site and said f**k ALL YOU GUYS. That's just the kind of immature behavior that always made Josh a frustrating person to be around. I know it's not easy to run a forum (believe me, it's very difficult at times), but if push REALLY comes to shove, you should be man enough and responsible enough to just hand the forum over if people are wanting and enjoying it more than you are. Josh was on a power trip, and it was bullshit.
That makes me feel better.

I'm not saying that I'm standing up for him, but I wondered what caused him to do that. If it's possible to answer that, then thanks. yeah, I kinda hate that SBO was deleted, but then again, I was pretty ignorant about it, so I'm sorry for my immaturity there.

That's where his YTMND-hate came from. Which in itself was Josh's fault to begin with. Personal life does not belong on the Internet, especially weak-points like love, especially not weak-points like love for video game characters and ESPECIALLY not weak-points like the delusion that a video game character, in some form or other, is real. I take neither side in the whole thing because YTMND was a pack of horny trolls and because Josh's reaction to the horny troll attacks was totally the wrong decision. That's the story.
