Yucca Desert was an important location in Mother 1, since you could find there one of the melodies. The stage is actually a moving stage, like Rainbow Cruise in SSBM, but funnier. Anyways, just read below!
I.Tank ride
The stage is set in the Yucca Desert, and the battle begins with a slow horizontal screen-scrolling, from left to right. The main platform to fight on is actually a tank, that will stay in the center of the screen and move from left to right as well. You can stand on the tank easily (as if you were fighting on the Rainbow Cruiser in SSBM), but you can also get off the tank and fight on the ground. There is no pit, but you can KO your opponents by knocking them offscreen on the left or on the right of the screen. Since the screen is scrolling, you have to keep moving toward the right (if you are on the tank, you don't have to worry about that since it is moving too).
Sometimes, a herd of Gabilans, or Titanees will appear onto the battlefield. They can't hit you if you are standing on the tank, but if you are on the ground, they will try to attack you. Gabilans can ram you (10% damage), whereas Titanees will use PSI Hypnosis to make you fall asleep for three seconds (and the screen-scrolling won't wait for you to wake up!). Gabilans and Titanees are drawn on the Fan Art above, but here are extra pics:
After a while, the tank will go past a sign on which is written: DANGER! MINES!. After that sign, there will be tons of mines hidden in the sand, so just get back onto the tank. If you fall onto the ground and hit a mine, it will explode, dealing as much damage as a Bob-Omb!! You can see that sign on the far right of the Fan Art above.
Once it has crossed the mined area, the tank will reach some kind of ancient fortress, as you can see on the pics above. There aren't mines anymore, so you can go on fighting onto the ground. Shortly after, the huge robot R7307 will block your path!! The tank will fire his gun at R7307, but the robot will eventually destroy the tank. Stay as far from the battle as possible if you don't want to take heavy damage (tank gun: 50% damage; punch from R7307: 70% damage). You can see that battle in the top of the Fan Art above, but here is a sprite of R7307:
II.Plane flight
After the destruction of the tank, an old red biplane (pic above) will come and rescue the players: it will cross the screen from right to left, so hop on it before you get offscreen! The screen-scrolling will now follow the plane. You are compelled to fight on the plane, and if you fall off the plane, you will be KOed. Hopefully, no enemies will attack you during the flight. After a while, the plane will land at the place where the battle started, and... a new tank will be waiting for you. Get off the plane, get back onto the tank, and get ready for a second turn!!

I really love that music!!! Please listen to it!

I know, it may seem confusing, but it not easy to explain! Try to compare with Rainbow Cruise, and you'll understand better!
