Mushroom Kingdom and Subcon were in SSBM, I think that Shrikes accepted my Mushroom Underground submission. Now, here is Subcon Underground!
[glow=red,2,300]Stage[/glow]
Name: Subcon Underground
Region: Subcon
From: Super Mario bros. 2
Year: 1988
System: NES
[glow=red,2,300]Map[/glow]
Made with game sprites. Sorry for the dark background, but I couldn't find sprites from the remake of SMB2 (that is to say Super Mario Advance), so I had to use the old ones. Obviously, in SSBB, the graphics would be much better, though they should remain more or less classic:
[glow=red,2,300]Description[/glow]
This stage is an undergound stage, located in the depths of the land of Subcon. It is actually a cave, with a waterfall in the background, as you can see on the map.
On each side of the stage, there are ground areas, flat and rather large, which are good places to fight on. The ceiling would be higher than it looks on the map, so that the stage is not too enclosed. There are no pits on the sides of the stage, but if you go too far to the left or to the right, you will get offscreen and be KOed. Every ten seconds, Snifits will appear on either side of the screen, and they will shoot their Nightmare Balls at the players. Each balls damages for 10%. Actually, Snifits act like Birdo in SSBM's Subcon stage.
Sometimes, red grass tufts sprout from the ground (look at the map). If you stand before them and press A, you can pick up the tuft, which will reveal an item:
60%--> Vegetable (like Peach's down B move)
40%--> Random item
Press A again to toss the item. These grass tufts replace the "?" blocks from SSBM's Mushroom Kingdom stage.
In the center of the stage, there is a large pit, with rocky platforms hovering above it. You can stand and fight on these platforms without any problem, as they are flat. Try not to fall into the pit, though... As you can see, there is no ceiling in the center of the stage, so you can perform star KOs.
There is still a little hazard: a Spark is circling around the higher block, as you can see on the map. If you touch it, you will be damaged for 15%, and you will be knocked down on the platform. The block is rather high, hopefully. However, Spark may save your life by preventing you from being star KOed.
