From DKC's younger brother game, Donkey Kong Land, here comes another DK-related stage.
----------
Name (world level): Big Ape City (DK Island)
Name (stage level): K. Rool's Kingdom (DK Island)
From: Donkey Kong Land
Background music: A mix of this and this (both are hotlinked)
System: GB
Release: 1995
You fight inside the DK Zeppelin above the heights of Big Ape City, the little-known urbanized area of DK Island. Here's where you fought King K. Rool in DKL.
The stage will be constantly and shaking, as it will be noticeable by looking the clouds out of the windows.
Ocassionally, some air-pumped switches will appear on the stage. If you step on them, the K, O, N, and G letter symbols will appear creating random non-solid platforms or bridges.
An Oil Barrel is set in the middle of the stage. It will have fire on it at some times, and be turned off at others.
One Hogwash will be flying vertically at each side of the stage. They can be beaten easily by stomping on them, attacking them, throwing projectiles at them, or being thrown at them. In the latter case the character that makes contact with it will receive a slight damage and get the chance to come back to the stage.
Additional ornaments include Zingers flying in the background and Oil Barrels being turned on and off.
Xatu's forecast:
Game too little referenced to know
----------
Before Nintendo and Rare released the Donkey Kong Country port for Game Boy Color (with the addition of one level and various different game modes), and way before Nintendo made a 32-bit version of the same game for Game Boy Advance (with the addition of a new dancing mini-game by Candy Kong, and some new lines for Cranky Kong and K. Rool), the first attempt to make a portable version of the high-selling SNES game took place for the monochromatic Game Boy (with Super Game Boy compatibility), which used the same graphics modeling method used for DKC.
This game was a partial sequel to Donkey Kong Country, in which the fight against the Kremlings takes place again thanks to a test challenge planned by Cranky Kong himself for DK and Diddy.
