Name: Chargin' Chuck
Game: Super Mario World
Year: I'll check later. Remind me.
Moves
Up-B: Rebound
Chuck jumps directly upwards in a clapping attack.
B: Pitch
Chuck throws a baseball. The longer you hold the button, the farther the ball can go.
Side-B: Blitz
Chuck does his signature tackle attack. He can use this in Helpless Mode to gain distance, but he continues to fall in spite of it.
Down-B: Punt
Chuck pulls out a football. Press A or Down-B to kick it away.
Final: Catch
Two Chargin' Chucks join the main one for the attack. They tackle any enemy in their path, stunning them, and the three throw a trio of baseballs at each other, comboing the stunned enemies in a frenzy of baseballs.
Taunt: Chuck does two quick jumps in place while looking up.
Stats
Speed :: 5/10
Power :: 8/10
Jump :: 5/10
Fall :: 5/10
Size :: 6/10
Weight :: 7/10
Traction :: 3/10
Chargin' Chuck's speed and power are a balance between DK's and Mario's, two good defaults for a heavyweight and an average fighter (Bowser may have been better, but DK has more speed, something Chuck had in his ring.)

The story: Okay, so, I've lately been thinking that Peach doesn't really need the Tennis Racket and the Golf Club for her Side-C attack. One of the thoughts I had about it was "Why would she need to use sports equipment for an attack when she already has a better one?" This then proceeded to evolve into "Why should a character use sports equipment for Smash?" Then I got to thinking, "What if there were a character in Smash that, naturally, used sports equipment?" The cogs started whirling and BAM! First idea to mind: Chargin' Chuck.
