I have two ideas for how the Viruses would play... here they are...
Name: Viruses
Game: Dr. Mario
The Viruses play similar to the Ice Climbers, though there are three of them and they are much more united. Each Viruse has a different element and knockback; Blue's strikes result in ice damage and average knockback, Red's strikes have the largest knockback and use fire-element attacks, Yellow's result in a high-damaging electric shock but cause low knockback.
Final Smash: Epidemic - A rain of mini-Viri (the small versions of the Viruses you stack the pills on in Dr. Mario) fall upon the stage, damaging foes with their respective elements.
Special Attacks:
Up B: Heave-Ho! - The two CP controlled Viruses will toss the player-controlled one into the air, then pull themselves up through a chain of mini-viruses connecting them to the main Viruse. When only two Viruses remain, the attack has less range, when only one reminds, it's pretty useless since you can't toss yourself.
B: Red Rover - You and one of the other two CP viruses will launch the third Viruse forward through the air, dealing a generous amount of damage. With only two Viruses, you spin your ally around and he runs along the ground with built momentum. If only one Viruse is left, the attack becomes a grapple where he tosses grabbed enemies and sends them uncontrollably running.
Smash B: Spin Wheel - The Viruses grab hands in spin in a circle to the left or right, damaging foes and deflecting projectiles. This attack will also switch the color Viruse you currently command.
Down B: Demagnify - A simple dodging attack, a magnifying glass will phase away and the viruses will shrink down for a moment, avoiding attack, and then the magnifying glass will return to make them normal sized.
--------------------------------------------
Then there's this:
Name: Virus
Game: Dr. Mario
This uses a solo-Virus (Blue) with Red and Yellow being Alt. Costumes. These version also lacks the elemental stats, except when using your Final.
Final Smash: Epidemic - A rain of mini-Viri (the small versions of the Viruses you stack the pills on in Dr. Mario) fall upon the stage, damaging foes with their respective elements.
Up B: Mega-Jump - Your Virus leaps upward with unusual strength. This must be why they spread so quickly.
B: Mini-Me - Virus tosses an 8-Bit version of himself which latches onto foes and sucks their energy, much like the flower weapon in Melee.
Smash B: Plague - Virus leaps forward then slams his fist into the ground. Foes he manages to catch before punching the Earth (Thus, them getting caught in the punch instead of the ground) recieve low damage but a lot of knockback.
Down B: Demagnify - Same as above.
(The following are the same for both)
Stats:
Speed: 5/10
Jump: 6/10
Weight: 3/10
Strength: 4/10
Size: 3/10
Traction: 6/10
Fall: 3/10
Air-Resistance: 3/10
Entrance: The Virus/es fall onto the stage as it's/their 8-bit self/ves and a magnifying glass swoops down, enlarging them.
Taunt: Strikes a pose resembling their dances from Dr. Mario.
I'll define the attacks later if I feel they need to be or I'm requested to. Pic soon too
