Now, for the belated issue of submitting bosses and how to do it!
This thread is about Bosses and how I want them submitted. Being a major part of any game, apparently Brawl now, too, Bosses are very interesting parts of the game.
How to submit them!
Name: Duh. I want a name. If it's more than one boss at a time, you can also name the boss fight in itself, for example, if Mario and Luigi were the bosses, you could call it "Mario Bros."
Game(s): First game they ever appeared in. I'd really rather not accept a boss that you just made up off the top of your head, for example, "Sir Hand the Gauntlet," a floating metal glove similar to Master/Crazy Hand. However, if the boss were something that exists, for example, Krow from DKC2, I'd be much more willing to accept it. Note the (s), by the way. If two bosses from two different games fight together, list both games.
Mode: What mode this boss is fought in. Is it fought in Classic Mode? Mention where. Subspace Emissary? Who fights the boss, and where? An Event Match? What's the event? Pick what you want, excepting that I won't accept it if it's found in All Star Mode. By the way, this is about where the boss battle lay-out starts changing.
Moveset: How does the boss attack? And for that matter, how do you defeat the boss, knock-out or ring-out? If the boss isn't a character, for example, Bowser, then do they have a specialized move-list like the Hands or a regular one like Metal Mario? Do they have moves that could be considered for B moves, or are they like the Fighting Wireframes? Like with characters, be pure, I don't want Gooper Blooper using a leafy sword to kick butt.
Level/Stage: Depending on mode, you may need to pick one of two spots. Stages are what we already have. You can also make a specialty stage for them, but if you do, make a map. Please. As for levels, this is an entire scenario, similar to the Mushroom Kingdom in Adventure Mode in the last game. If you would like you may map it, or you could describe the layout, or hell, just let me give it a go! Or, if you'd prefer, you could take a level from another game and tell me to use that, there are level maps all over the place for things like that. In either case, unless you're using a pre-used stage, define any hazards. If it's a level, this includes minor enemies like Goombas.
The Fight: So, when it's all said and done, you will have to fight the boss, won't you? How do you do it? For example, is there a particular item you need to attack the boss with? Are they immune to physical attacks? Do they naturally deflect projectiles? Screw around, make yourself have HP too. Make your character have a handicap. Make it so you have to survive through a time-limit to win. Do nothing at all special with the fight. Let's hear it, then. How will YOUR boss be fought?
