The SBL Adventure Mode will be composed of various different adventures, these are known as "Modes." Currently, there is one of these modes, however, I plan on creating more to keep this mode from over-crowding.
Subspace Emissary
Continuing from where Brawl left off, the Subspace Emissary is the same story as before: Tabuu = Evil, wants to take over the Smash World. Tabuu did not die in Brawl's SSE, he was only stopped, kinda like what happens all the time with Bowser, Ganondorf, Ridley, etc. Tabuu, in order to take over the Smash World, creates a false entity to join Ganondorf's army. This entity, Mohrah by name, rises up and proves his worth, so he becomes much closer to Ganondorf, taking the position of an adviser. Mohrah convinces Ganondorf that, to take over the world, he'll need to use an old trick, Subspace, and a few old allies, Bowser and Wario. Ganondorf therefore convinces Bowser to aid his cause again, and literally hires Wario as a grunt (orders essentially being "Follow my orders and you get money.") Ganondorf further decides that he'll get more help if he pays Waluigi, as well, so he does. As such, Wario and Waluigi team up with a common interest: A fat paycheck. Tabuu fools a few new faces, as well, convincing Dr. Eggman, Giygas, and the Eggplant Wizard (among other possible future submissions) to join his ranks in the same way he managed to con the original three: Empty promises through a repossessed Master Hand. Taking after the original three in another regard, the Eggplant Wizard, like Ganondorf, intends to betray the Master Hand and take over for himself after all is said and done, Dr. Eggman, like Bowser, is loyal to the Hand due to promises of land, and Giygas, like Wario, is in it strictly for his own gain (in Giygas' case, the sake of destruction.) And so begins a new battle in the war against Tabuu.
"Sagas" are essentially portions of a Mode. These aren't like stages, which act more or less like a level in Melee's Adventure Mode, a Saga is more like a series of levels. In Brawl's SSE, you played as various characters who essentially had a story-line that, inevitably, would lead up to Subspace. These story-lines are essentially Sagas. An example of a saga would be the continuing adventures of Sonic, Shadow, and Deoxys (courtesy BG1,) while what has up to this point been known as a Boss Saga, or Saga, is now a Level.
Bosses are Level breaks. The new, official definition of a Boss Saga is a level up to a single boss from the previous boss. In terms of a Boss Saga, a boss is not necessarily a one-shot fight (such as Rayquaza,) as a Boss Saga (in the new terms) may also be everything between your entrance to the Level up to Wario, or even the entrance up to a solitary Greap guarding a door. Heck, some Boss Sagas don't even need a boss at all! These Sagas may be broken up in a variety of ways, such as the end of the level, a cut-scene, or a character re-select. Be careful, of course, to let me know this if you plan on submitting a Boss Saga.
Finally, just a notice: I may have approved of your boss in the past, however, I will NOT add the boss without a Mode, Saga, Level, and position (i.e., "Eggman is SSE, Sonic Saga, Wing Fortress and Death Egg Level, Third fight" or "Porky is SSE, Lucas Saga, Ruined Zoo Level, First fight.") As such, to use Smithy as an example, I need to know, basically, the Boss Saga up to Smithy, the Level Smithy is in, who's Saga Smithy is fought in, and what Mode they fight Smithy in.
