The Best Film Moments of All Time What are yours?
The Last March of the Ents The LOTR: Two Towers By far the most magical moment in film ever. I can watch this over and over and over again and love even more every time. The scene follows many Ents (Treebeard leading them with Mary and Pippin) marching toward Saruman's fortress, kicking orcs throwing rocks and releasing the river. I LOVE THIS The only bad thing is that it cuts away alot to Sam and Frodo and Helms Deep
The Battle of Helm's Deep The LOTR: Two Towers Yes, same movie I know, but I'm a Middle-earth fanatic, so sorry. By far the best battle (besides the above) ever. I couldn't believe what I was seeing when I watched this the first time. I sometimes watch this film just to see this battle. And Gimli is just plain hillarious. "You could've picked a better spot!"
The First Encounter of the Brachiosaurus Jurassic Park Sure they have the bone-chilling kitchen scene and the Rex with the cars, but this scene is remarkable, filled with magic. I don't think I can explain this scene.

I have three favorites to all but one of the four major genres: Drama, Comedy, and Action. I don't like Romance enough to have a favorite.
Drama: The winner of this is....Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. Okay. Star Wars is by no means a Drama series, no less Episode V. But the absolute BEST drama scene in all of film is straight from Episode V. "Obi-Wan never told you what happened to your father." "He told me enough! He said that you killed him!" "No, Luke. I am your father." The conflict is a defining point in film. A basic conflict, for example Will Smith vs. NYC in "I Am Legend" fits many genres, but as the conflict escalates, then it becomes fitting of a drama. And throughout the classic trilogy, that conflict was piled higher and higher, making an amazing drama. Runner-up: Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. "I HATE YOU!" "You were a brother, Ani! You were like a brother and I loved you like a brother!" 'Nuff said.
Comedy: This game's winner is....Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Well that figures. But, alot of folks are probably thinking I'm going to say the Killer Rabbit of the Cave of Caer Bannog or the Fortress of the Frenchmen. No and no. Moreso than any other scene, the funniest scene in the Holy Grail is Swamp Castle. "I really want...to sing..." "NO NO, THERE'LL BE NONE OF THAT!" Classic. Runner-up: Same movie. No, I actually cannot quote this. I can, however, say this. The opening credits. The credits vandalism was awesome. Maybe it's because of the silliness of the word moose, or maybe it's the fact that, even after they said they sacked the folks responsible for doing the opening credits were sacked because of the vandalism, the next scene was just as vandalized, this time by llama talk. But the opening credits were among the best.
Action: Give it up for....The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King. You're probably thinking alot of scenes from Lord of the Rings are available, and you're definately right. The one scene of importance, however, is Gollum's death. The duel was vicious, and then, of course, his death was fitting: Gollum's passionate greed consumed him like a lake of fire, and so he died the same way twice. Runner-up: Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. Same scene as the Drama. Just that now I'm talking about the battle itself.

The Rabbit of Caerbannog Monty Python and the Holy Grail Everything Shrikes said is repeated in my thoughts. I've watched this film several times, and yet, I laugh the most in this scene every time. From the Holy Hand Grenade to the decapitation of that one knight in black armor..... This is a memorable laugh.
SPOILERS!SPOILERS!SPOILERS! The Ending The Mist The Mist, a bland yet at times affective film based on King's novella has the best ending I've ever scene. In the book, it ends in an abandoned warehouse. But in the film, it is a heart-pounding, unexpected ending. My mouth dropped (and I mean dropped!) when this ending was showed. I couldn't believe my eyes. As every one gets shot in the head, he walks outside to be eaten..... the army shows up. I don't think an ending can get much better than. Although not necessarily a twist ending, just an unexpected on at that.
