Stage 3-1 (a.k.a. Sea of Sand)
Sin and Punishment
N64 2000 (JP-Only)
Some parts of this sub may be a bit bland, seeming like something was left-out, or just not enough was added to it, Since this was a JP-Only game, and it is very rare (although it is on the VC now), there's not much info I could find.

Stage 3-1, which I codenamed Sea of Sand, because it reminds me of a sea, but the water is sand. Through-out the sub it'll be called 3-1.
The stage is located in an area of sand, this is the first part of 3-1 in the game.
Here's a video of 3-1, Sea of Sand can be viewed 0:48 - 2:02

The overall layout is rather large, consisting of small hills and sudden surprises (you'll see what I mean). One thing is the layout will change each you play on this stage, there is three different layouts, each are picked at random.
For the maps, I tried my best to make all the features the same size, sorry 'bout that.

CREATURES/HAZARDS
There is three different creatures that will appear, but they won't appear that often, so fighting won't be interrupted much. Oh, and none of these creatures have names (or atleast that I know of), so I've given them some names of my own, they're pretty simple.
And one creature I did not feature from this area is a clam-like creature which can be seen in vid.
Sand Flies (referred to as SF below)
These appear at 0:48 of the vid, they don't look like flies, too me they kind of resemble them.
In the not so far backround, you'll see the SF's fin, which will zoom toward the stage, it'll then jump out of the sand and dive forward at a character. They move with a decent speed, and are hard to dodge, if they hit you it has barely any knockback, and does about 10 damage.
Sand Eels (referred to as SE below)
Appearing at 0:59 in the vid, these are the most dangerous of the creatures.
In the backround the sand will moving and wrenching in a weird fashion, in front of part of the stage, then the SE's head will burst from the sand (while screeching) and slam it's head into the sand with it's mouth open, sending sand flying into the air. If a character is hit by this, they better have low damage, it has very knockback, while dealing 20-25 damage. But these are very easy to dodge as they are slow.
OctoCrab (referred to as OC and OCT for tentacle(s))
appearing at 1:23 in vid, it appears only in the backround, the OC will attack with it's OCT.
The OCT will appear in the foreground and drop onto the stage covering a small portion and hitting any players in the way. It deals 15 damage and has a decent amount of knockback, but isn't that dangerous.
When the different creatures attack and hit the sand, it will have effects on the environment. With sand flying everywhere from attacks (like SEs slamming the ground...) it cause the layout to change. Adding hills, or making them bigger, anything happens.
But it also happens in the backround too, creatures make attack each other, or just do it randomly and send sand up to the battlefield, sand does not do damage, if sand falls on your character, they simply rise up from the piling, which is like a platform rising from the ground.
Eventually, the layout will go back to normal (or at least close to normal).
BACKROUND
Like said above, creatures will interact in the backround, including the clam-like things that I didn't include. The building/labyrinth thing from the vid is seen in the backround, with the stairs going up to the top.
I'm done, I had some other ideas that I cut from the original concept of the sub, but there's a possibility that I might add them later on.
