Starfox over-repped? HA! They got two characters and two stages. That's it. Pokemon has 4 characters, 2 stages, and a variety of items (albeit under one object). People are wanting Wolf and Krystal too, who are much more popular and important to the series than Falco. So, if you add them up, it'll be four Star Fox characters. Which is unfair to other series, such as Metroid. So, they should axe Falco and add Krystal and Wolf

I'd like to take this opportunity to point out that there haven't been too many suitable fighters in the Metroid series up until the GCN.
ALSO! Falco's been popular with the series forever. If Falco's cut, that'd piss off series fans.

If Falco is cut, I will not be happy at all. Falco deserves to remain in.

Falco is the most logical choice to axe out of Fox, Falco, Krystal and Wolf.
Krystal is a very major character in the series. The stories in Star Fox Adventures and Command all revolve around her. And Wolf is the most suitable villain from Star Fox and is Fox's rival.
Not to mention that they are both unique characters. Krystal uses magic with her staff, while Wolf can use techniques that his Wolfen can use, like the mines, double shot lasers, Gravity Blades, etc.
Falco, however will be difficult to declone, since he shares the same techniques as Fox, and pilots the same ship. Falco should be... um... a costume I guess. XD
@shrikeswind: Ridley and Dark Samus should be added. (Dark Samus will not be a clone)

Of 'em all, Wolf wouldn't reach the series. Remember: Wolf existed when Melee was made, but Falco got in over him.

Woo. Out of things I've read I have to say:
1) No decloning is gonna happen. Whoever said that doesn't play much fighting games. 2) Falco is more popular than anyone in the Star Fox universe. This includes Fox. 3) Krystal and Wolf deserve and have authority to get in, but I doubt both will. 4) Doc is baller. Straight, up, baller.
AND...
XD!

I don't think any character should be cut.

Sakura stated he is decloning characters. Also, there is no argument against Four StarFox characters except "It wouldn't be fair." Look at the number of Mario and pokemon characters in Melee compared to the other series. Numbers don't matter.

Sakura stated he is decloning characters. Doesn't mean 100% of the characters are getting original movesets. Just look at Wario. He already has Bowser's back aerial animation in G&W like frames.

His frames really aren't G&W. They are similar, but not quite exact. As for Bowser aerial attack, it concerns me that this my mean Bowser's removed.

For the record (as this has been irking me for quite sometime):
Bowser's Back-air = Pushing backward with spikey shell, landing on his back.
Wario's Back-air = Backwards headbutt that just so happens to also make him land on his back.
Wario's back-air is not Bowser's back-air.

And really. Bowser is infinately more major than Wario.
Of all the charzcters that are going, the ones that aren't are the Smash64 Fighters, the defaults from Melee (Minus Shiek and the Ice Climbers), Melee unlocks (Minus G&W), Ganondorf, and Falco. Names not referred to are the most likely choices for the chopping block.

Wario's Back-air = Backwards headbutt that just so happens to also make him land on his back. Wario's back-air is not Bowser's back-air. Both of the moves have the same animation. Same moves. Different properties and knockback I'm sure, but same moves. But really there's no intelligent reason to cut Bowser for Wario. I mean, just say that out loud... "Bowser was taken out of Smash Bros for Wario." See? Doesn't make sense.
