As the Chirstmas update is getting closer, we need a few wintery stages. Tell me what you think about this one...
[glow=red,2,300]Stage[/glow]
Name: Snownight Mushroom
Region: Mushroom Kingdom
From: Super Mario Bros
Year: 1987
System: NES
[glow=red,2,300]Map[/glow]
Since this map was made using game sprites, I don't think we really need screenshots. Sorry for the screen-stretching.
[glow=red,2,300]Description[/glow]
This stage is a classic stage, located in the Mushroom Kingdom at night, and obviously in winter as you can see on the map. Therefore, the ground is covered with snow: if you run too fast, you may skid and fall off off a cliff, so watch out. Ther are pits on each side of the battlefield, and a smaller one between the two ground areas.
There are several platforms hovering above the stage. They are all made of breakable blocks, like in SSBM's Mushroom Kingdom. Once broken, the blocks reappear after about fifteen seconds. Some of them will be "?" blocks, that release a random item when you hit them.
There are not many hazards in this stage, except for the two pipes you can see on the map. Every ten seconds, a Piranha Plant with a classic, old-school design, emerges from a pipe, and tries to bite the players. These plants can be defeated with projectiles, and if you manage to destroy a Piranha Plant, you will be granted some extra bonus points. Here is an animated sprite of a Piranha Plant:

Click here to listen to this theme. It's pretty cool and suitable, IMO.
