Before I begin, let me define some things I'll be mentioning alot.
Defining stat: This is a stat that makes a character perform well. These stats are currently Speed, Power, and Jump.
Support stat: This is a stat that balances itself out no matter how high or low it is, for example, a high Weight makes it so when an enemy whips out with really strong attack, say DK's Giant Punch, the character can survive, but also means that a drilling attack like Fox's A-combo will be harder to escape, or a low Traction makes it easier to get out of the way of an attack (essentially, simplicity of wave-dashing,) but harder to stop in case you need to stop quickly in case of some kind of trap, like a Banana Peel or a Mine.
Agility: A collective stat group for Speed and Jump. These stats tend to affect each other, as commonly, a higher Speed means a higher Jump, but not always, such as in the case of Toad.
Power: The current stat for the lifting power of a character and the strength of a Smash attack. This is pretty key.
I'm thinking of adding an eighth stat. This would be a big update. It'd need some cooperation from all of you for it. Here's the scoop. Speed and Jump tend to mingle with each other well as the Agility group. Power doesn't have a friendly stat, which leads me to the next point. As is the case for Agility right now (which is only a grouping of two stats,) Power would be a grouping for two new stats that broke off from it, Lift (lifting capacity) and Strength (power of Smash and Basic attacks.) This would be important to create those characters who don't fit the regular mold, like Toad.
