Another of my classics, the Dumb Drum.
The Dumb Drum works similarly to the Pokeball, but not quite. It shoots out a random villain from the Donkey Kong series (as in shoots, like a gun). It has three uses before it vanishes. These villains are....
Klaptraps: Klaptraps are a simple enemy. Similar to Marill, Klaptrap runs across the stage to nail enemies, and doesn't stop for the end of his platform and turns at walls. Klaptrap's key difference is that he throws enemies back instead of drilling them onwards, and that he can hurt the guy who shot him, too. He can be knocked away.
Army: Armies are similar to Klaptraps, but they know where the platforms end, so they don't go over. Armies roll across the platform until they hit five people. When alone on the platform or with the guy who shot him, Army will uncurl and stand still, giving someone an opportunity to nail him. If anyone else is there, Army will roll up and try and nail them. Army is invincible while he's in a ball. He doesn't hurt the shooter.
Slippa: Slippas are an interesting specimen. They act like Scizor and Marill crossed over. Slippa will pursue one enemy, the nearest one to it, slithering across the stage. If Slippa falls into a pit, he will bounce out and try and nail the enemy as he falls. If he misses, he continues to chase the enemy until either the enemy is caught or Slippas tricked over a ledge. Slippas can't hurt the shooter and, unlike every other villain, gets shot out really far.
Zinger: Zingers act like a trap, flying up and down trying to sting the enemy. Pretty simple, but fairly effective.
Mini-Necky: Mini-Necky flies to a nearby vantage point upon being launched, where he'll start shooting 20 coconuts out his mouth at anyone in his way, including the shooter.
Necky: Necky flies across the stage trying to peck people in flight. If hit, he falls to the ground and starts hucking coconuts from his vantage point until he runs out (after 9 nuts) or gets hit again.
Bazuka: Bazuka's fun! He comes out as this little thing that EVERYONE would be able to pwn. Then, he pulls out this MASSIVE bazooka and fires one of four barrels. They are a regular barrel, a TNT barrel, a keg, and an item barrel.
Gnawty: Gnawty is pretty boring. He acts just like Klaptrap, only slower and doesn't do any damage. He's the equivalent of a dud. His only interest is that he comes in multiple colors and shades of such, commonly green, but also gray, purple, blue, and brown.
Brown Gnawty: So, you thought Gnawty was TOTALLY useless? You thought wrong. If you get a brown Gnawty, you're in for a treat. He'll walk out for a bit, doing nothing still. However, at a certain distance from you, he'll leap into the air, and come back down in a millstone. When it lands, it'll roll around and run down anyone (except you) in the way, burying them.
Klampon: Klampons are living bullets! When you fire a Klampon, he goes careening across the stage, gnawing through anyone in his way. When he hits a wall or slope, he vanishes.
Clambo: Clambo is very interesting. You can only get Clambo on the last shot, and when you get him, he replaces your drum. He fires three pearls, then vanishes.
Croctopus: Croctopus spins around with his tentacles out when you get him. He will spin like this up walls, along ceilings, across floors, and around platforms. He makes for a good trap if you can get him on a floating platform.
Kritter: Kritter serves a role similar to Mew or Celebi, save for the fact that he does attack (he leaps around trying to stomp an enemy) as well as score you points. Why? I'm hoping you'll tell me.
