And this one is all new! I did submit it before but as a test submission at S.F.'s home. ---------- Name: WarioWare BombFrom: WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$! (Game Boy Advance, 2003) Description: Throw this item at a foe, and if the foe doesn't avoid it, he/she/it will be forced to repeat a random-generated button sequence in less than 5 seconds. If the victim loses, then the bomb will explode like any thrown Bob-omb would. Otherwise, the victim will be able to throw it again at another character. The third time it's thrown at anyone, this item will automatically explode like a Bob-omb. Xatu's forecast: Too made-up to know ---------- I loved it when I saw Fox McCloud and Falco Lombardi interacting with the other Star Fox pilots in the Corneria and Venom stages in SSBM. I long to see something similar, and I guess playable microgames would work, especially because we know Wario (in his WarioWare outfit) will appear in SSBB.

I'm not sure... The concept is original and funny, but wouldn't it slow down the fight a lot?

Yeah, I'm not diggin' this one. Ignoring the fact that it's essentially made up (historically, existance has not been an issue for Smash Bros., as evident from the Party Ball, the Cracker Launcher, and the Smash Ball,) it's also extremely unfair, and would certainly not be an idea that Smash could pull off easily as is. With changes it could quite easily become a useful and somewhat fair item, but as a stand alone, it's impossible.

About the slowing down, I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem in offline battles, but it might indeed be too complex to handle online, especially when more than two people are going to participate.
But I don't get the unfair part, as you can block the attack just like you would block a Bob-omb. No clue about what other use give to it, though (as it does the same in the games; you just don't "grab" it physically).

The unfairness comes from the fact that it'd either freeze the battle so one guy can play the mini-game, or from the fact that the battle would rage on even while he's stuck playing, making him a simple target pass or fail. If he's frozen but shielded then he loses his own time to fight. I do know one way it could work, however. Like your idea, of course, it'd require that whoever gets hit has to do something to prevent an explosion. However, I remember a particular Mario Party Mini-game that featured a more Smash-fair engine.

Yeah, the Sabre Swipers thing could work . Just to make it less complex. Should the WarioWare Bomb do that?

On your discretion.

I've not played Mario Party 2. Is that a random sequence of buttons?

Yeah. The game randomly selects five buttons, the rule is to hit the buttons in the order they appear. You'll never know what buttons will appear, but you gotta be able to hit them in order faster than the other guy, or you lose.

Okay, I fixed it to avoid a complex processing of microgames inside an SSB game itself.
I wonder what other item could be extracted from WarioWare...

Meh, this is alright. I don't know what about it is wrong. It just seems lacking.
