Name: Amingo
Game Debut: Marvel vs Capcom 2
Nintendo Debut: SNK vs Capcom: Card Fighters Clash DS
Licensed To: Capcom
Amingo was planned for a Capcom game, however the game was canned. This doesn't mean, however, that he has been forgotten. Instead Amingo is now used as an original character for the vs. Capcom series and has appeared in nearly every Capcom company cross-over since his debut. The large cactus holds the cartoonish qualaty the Smash Bros series is known for. The only background given to him is that he is searching for a wind that kills all plant-life. The screens in the below submission are, in fact, from my MUGEN. However the attacks are very real (except the names), and were originally used in MvC2.
Amingo takes on Mario
Stats:
Amingo is only a moderate weight, despite his size. He is also surprisingly quick with attacks, thanks to his shape-shifting abilities.
Speed: 5
Strength: 6
Jump: 3
Fall: 3
Size: 7 (counting hat)
Weight: 7
Traction: 2
Taunt Up: Fiddles with his hat
Taunt Side: Beckons to foes to bring it on.
Taunt Down: Plays his guitar.
Entrance: A giant red plant sprouts from the ground. It opens up revealing Amingo inside. The plant then shrivels back into the ground.
Special Attacks:
Up B: Cactus Copter - Wraps his arms around himself while his body squishes. He extends the spikes on his arms as he rises into the air. It's essentially a clone of Bowser's Fortress.
B: Petal Punch - Extends his arm which takes the form of a carnivorous flower on a coiled stock. He then spins his arm, damaging foes.
Smash B: Rocket Pod - Launches forward while surrounding himself in a bud.
Down B: Chompvine - Burrows his arms into the ground. His arms leap in and out of the ground in front of him taking the form of a carnivorous plant that chomps foes. When in the air he will launch his arms (which take the vine and mouth form) straight downward.
Final Smash: Dance Dance Party - The two little guys in the screen pop up from the ground as the background changes to the one seen. The four directional indicators appear as Amingo begins to dance. Arrows will flow into the indicators. Pressing the direction indicated will cause one of the vine plants used in Amingo's down B to launch up from beneath your foes, damaging them.
If you feel that I did not accuratley describe the animation shown, feel free to reword it.
Notes/Other Screens:
Amingo has a unique grapple. His foot turns into a vine that coils around his foes. It's like in this pic, but he only punches when the attack command is issued:
Amingo taking on Mario in Peter Griffin's home (Was used to judge his height, since the depicted Mario is pretty to-scale):
A: Punch
Side-A: Hand grows and then he performs a Backhand
Dash-A: A taller version of his up B that slides on the ground
A Combo: Punch, Left-Hand Punch, Right-hand transforms into a giant spiked orange seed that he punches with
Up-A: Body thins and extends upward, battering his head into above foes
Down-A: Slide-Kicks his foes with drill-like transformed legs
Side-C: Both hands grow very large and he claps them together
Up-C: His arm becomes a long vine while his hand grows. He then swings his arm above his head, swatting foes with his large-hand
Down-C: Basically a clone of Mr.G&W's. His hands both become giant spiked orange seeds that he slams on either side of himself
Nair: One-legged drill kick
Uair: Upside-down drill kick
Fair: Elbow slam, a giant spike comes out of his elbow
Bair: Curves his body so his back rushes outward with extended spikes
Dair: Both hands become orange seeds which he swings downward with
Up Throw: Flips the enemy over his head with one hand while the other becomes an orange seed. He then rushes the orange seed into the foe, driving them upward.
Front Throw: Simply flicks the enemy forward
Back Throw: Similar in appearence to his dash A, however he doesn't move and the enemy is rotated and then thrown behind him.
Down Throw: Simply slams them into the ground
Hold Attack: His arm becomes a cactus branch as he punches his foe
