The greenish area at the bottom actually represents the slimy water of the swamp:
[glow=red,2,300]Description[/glow]
This stage is set in Deep Darkness, which is a huge, very wide and dark swamp, as the name implies. The platforms are rather small in this stage, but they are a bit longer that they look on the map, though (I don't want to stretch the screen too much).
The main area is a little isle in the center of the stage. You can fight on the ground easily. On this isle, as you can see on the map, there is a Hostile Elder Oak. You can jump on some of his branches and use them as tiny platforms. Most of the time, the oak keeps motionless, but sometimes he will move around before returning to his normal place. There is also a stump jutting out of the mud, which is a small extra platform that doesn't fit people on it too well.
On each side of the stage, there is a Demonic Petunia. They can be used as platforms, as they are very big, and it's thus easy to stand on them. However, be careful!! If you stay on them for too long, they will attack you, dealing good damage (20-30%). All these areas (the isle, and the Petunias) are separated by the sticky and smelly waters of the swamp. If you fall into the water, you may have a chance to come back onto the battlefield, as the viscosity of the water will slow down your fall.
As you may have noticed by looking at the map, the Hawk Eye is hovering above the stage. This ancient magical item has the power to light the Deep Darkness, and he gives enough light for you to see the battle well (the obscurity is similar to SSBM's Brinstar stage). Sometimes, the power of the Hawk Eye will wear off for a few seconds, and the stage will become completely black, making it impossible to see anything until the light comes back. Watch out!!
In the background there are a few enemy cameos, including Zap Eels and Hard Crocodiles swimming around, and Master Barf himself wandering aimlessly, occasionnally burping. Pics:
