[glow=red,2,300]Stage[/glow]
Name: Boss Bass Lake
Region: Sea Side, Mushroom World
From: Super Mario Bros. 3
Year: 1990
System: NES
[glow=red,2,300]Map[/glow]
The map was made with game sprites!!
[glow=red,2,300]Description[/glow]
This stage is located in Sea Side, one of the seven realms that compose the Mushroom World. In SMB3, Sea Side was ruled by Wendy O. Koopa. One of the most funny (and annoying) levels in this world was obviously... Big Bertha Lake.
As you can see on the map, the stage is composed of three solid platforms floating on the water. Since they are flat and have a decent lenght, these areas are good places to fight on. The small pillar on the right is not a real platform, but it can still be an interesting feature of the stage.
On each side of the stage, there is a red and green spinning platform. It seems that you can stand on these platforms, or even fight on it, but every five seconds, they will spin at high speed, knocking away all the foes who are standing on it. It's dangerous, but with a good timing there should be no problem. The spinning platforms may save your life if you are knocked off the stage, but they may also propel you into the water.
However, every ten seconds, all of the four blue platforms (look at the map) will dive into the water, about one meter below the surface. It implies that the characters can go on fighting on the blue block-made areas, but as most of them will have water up to the waist, their speed will be decreased (not as much as in a Slo-Mo Melee, though).
The main danger in this stage is Boss Bass! This giant Cheep-Cheep willl sometimes appear on the stage, swimming in the lake. Bertha will try to leap out of the water to swallow the players, and if you don't dodge or jump on time, prepare to get hurt! If you are swallowed by Boss Bass, you will be damaged for 10% damage each second as long as you stay in her mouth. Press the "A" button repeatedly to escape from the fish.
