Name: Lineland Road
World: Lineland
Game: Super Paper Mario
I couldn't find the name info, help is welcome.
Alright, so it's set up like a basic Mario stage. Land and blocks. The bricks crumble when hit, and the Question Boxes release items. Bricks and destroyed Boxes will return moments after destructiion as either a: Brick Box, Question Box, Previously Thumped Question Box (These are brown with a face that appears to be cringing, they cannot be destroyed but will fade away after a few moments.)
Well that's about..
Wait.
What?
I see two screens... what's with the bottom one?
Oh yes! I almost forgot! This stage IS more unique! The stage will rotate it's camera angle! Not only do you get to face this stage from the side, but you get to see it from every angle!
...But if I'm on the first long stretch of land, or the far blocks, won't I be killed by falling in the pit just before the land mass the second camera-angle takes place in?
That would normally happen, but I'm a nice guy. What happens is, when the camera flips (Which happens at random rotations of fifteen, ten or twenty seconds *there's also a 7% chance it happens when the last digit of the timer is 2*) anyway, when the camera changes, any characters on the far side of the new angle will slide toward the new area, they are able to jump over the pit. Here is some pics with characters in place for reference on where the battle should be:
I'd like to point out that these sprites are MUCH smaller then the in-game models that would be used.
Other Hazards:
Squigs and Squiglets - Squiglets are those annoying piggy things. These things can be easily dispatched with 5% damage. All they do is run from off screen. They run in straight lines until they fall off the cliff. Squigs, the purple ones, will come in from the sides and shoot rocks, they take twice the damage of a Squiglet to kill.
Sproing-Oing - Sproing-Oings are the cool spring things. They bounce in from ABOVE and are the only foes that appear in 3D mode. When they are damaged with 5% they split into four, equally as powerful, small Sproing-Oings.
Shlurp - On very rare occasions a Shlurp will slowly approach they players. If it contacts items, other foes, or the Smashers it will suck them up, spit them away, and leave. It takes 15% damage to defeat them.
What happens if enemies are on-screen when the stage flips?
That is a good question. But like in SPM, all that happens is that the enemies are reverted to nearly invisable paper-thin lines and simply wait for the course to change again before continuing their assault.
