One of two levels in the original Donkey Kong Country to feature a tree-top theme. I believe Johans submitted the other one, but that's not this one. This one features wooden platforms, but it's completely different from anything you've seen before in your life (unless, of course, you've played DKC.)
LAYOUT!
I don't have a map to show, unfortunately, so instead, I'm going to describe the layout. I'll have a map later.
Basically, on each end of the level are two wooden platforms about three Bowser-lengths wide. These platforms are tiered with a high slope that can't be walked up, rather, you have to jump to reach the next one, or walk off to fall onto the other one. These are, as I mentioned, seen on both sides. The upper platform is also the outer platform. These are the spawn-platforms, as well.
Between these two platforms is a huge gap, about the size of Hyrule Temple (in spite of the simplistic lay-out, this is a HUGE level, obviously.) There are five rock platforms in this gap, but to the chagrin of many, you can't stand on them, as there is half a tire stuck to them. You can bounce up and down on these tires, but they aren't very helpful if you're trying to take a straight fight to the ground, since they don't let you stand on them, as just landing on the tire makes you bounce up into the air, and they take up the entire platform.
Under the gap are two barrel cannons, and above the stage are four more that can't be seen. These 6 cannons will be very helpful, since if you miss them, you're probably dead. The two under the gap are between the second and third platforms and the third and fourth platforms, but they're way down near the bottom. Two more are directly above these way out of sight, they're still effective even if you're not shot out from below. Above the upper platforms on each side of the stage, parallel to the other two upper cannons, are two more, which are aimed immediately downwards. If you fall into one of the bottom cannons, they shoot you up to the cannon above it, and from there you're shot to the nearest far cannon (i.e., if you fall into the left bottom cannon, you're shot to the left top cannon, then from there to the far left cannon.) After that, you're immediately shot back down to the platform you're over. These cannons are Auto Fire Barrels that do nothing but fire in the described direction.
Occasionally, two Zingers will fly in and fly around the mid-left and mid-right tire platforms. In this case, in order to make it across, like in the original game, you have to time your jump properly, otherwise, the Zinger will sting you, launching you down.
