Name: Star Road
Game: Super Mario World
Year: 1991
The Star Road is a moving stage. It starts out as a single, long, hovering platform with the actual Star Road in the distance. After 20 seconds of the platform flying towards it, it deposits you at your first mini-stage, a large star that takes you to...
Donut Plains
While there aren't any immediate threats in the Donut Plains, the three stone platforms in the middle rotate around a tiny fourth platform in the center. After 20 seconds in the Donut Plains, the big platform sweeps upwards, picking up anyone underneath and taking them back to the Star Road, the battle still raging on top.
After 20 seconds on the single platform, you wind up at your next destination, the Vanilla Dome.
Vanilla Dome
Pretty basic stage layout, really. Occasionally, a Buzzy Beetle will cross the stage, they can hurt you, but if you stomp 'em, they leave their shell, which serves as a Green Shell. After 20 seconds here, the platform appears again and sweeps you off to a new land after 20 seconds on the platform, Star World.
Star World
Star World is based on Star World 3, notably, the hidden exit in Star World 3. KO's are obviously challenging here, you need to either get a Star KO or knock someone down the central pit. The other alternative, however, is to simply take out the side blocks, you can grab them and throw them, but they vanish in your hands after a couple seconds. They don't respawn for ten seconds after vanishing, so use that time to make KOs from the side. After 20 seconds, the cycle repeats.
