Eevee? WTF?
Alright, Eevee is a fairly decent choice for two reasons: Eevee was your rivals starter in Yellow and, more importantly, Eevee represents split-lines the best for two obvious reasons: Eevee's the first and Eevee has the biggest number of evolutions for it. But isn't a split-line a hinderance? Well, yeah, it was. But here's how Smashing as Eevee came to being. June 14, we discovered that Crates and Barrels are able to change form in certain levels. This implied that stage-affecting is possible. But where did Eevee come from? In several of Eevee's Pokedex entries since the second generation, Eevee's been said to evolve to adapt to harsh environments. How they connect: Why not have Eevee able to transform like the barrels? I'll get into details after the submission.
Name: Eevee
Game: Pokemon Red/Blue
Year: 1998
Moves
Up-B: Quick Attack
Same as Pikachu's.
B: Sand Attack
Eevee kicks up sand to lightly damage enemies as long as B is held.
Side-B: Take Down
Eevee leaps out in a powerful headbutt. May deal 1 damage to self through doing this.
Down-B: Evolve
Depending on stage, Eevee transforms into one of 7 forms.
Final Smash: Last Resort
Eevee uses every special but Evolve and proceeds to bite, scratch, and tackle the nearest target.
Taunt: Eevee looks at the stage, wags it's tail, and says "Eevee!"
Stats
Speed: 6/10
Power: 3/10
Jump: 6/10
Fall: 5/10
Size: 3/10
Weight: 5/10
Traction: 5/10
Attacks are based around headbutts, tackles, and tail whips, as are throws. Holds items in mouth, holds enemies by latching onto them (like Wolf Link in TP,) grab-attacks are bites, holds platforms under arms. This goes the same for the Eeveelutions.
So, what about Evolve? Simple. Click the following links for details. Not all links will be immediately available.
Vaporeon
Jolteon
Flareon
Espeon
Umbreon
Glaceon
Leafeon
Evolve lasts until Eevee is rung-out, so it's not permanent. It's not exactly pure, I know, but it's the best way to do it. Like with Zelda and Shiek, you can evolve prior to battle by holding A, however the ring-out rule still applies. If you want Eevee to start the next life evolved, taunt on the restart platform.

Okay, I'm just gonna link 'em, and I'll do 'em later, but this will be for the images for all of 'em.
