This map is quite bad, but it still shows what the stage would look like...
[glow=red,2,300]Description[/glow]
The stage is located in a large meadow in the hearth of the Forest Maze, near Rose Town. In SMRPG, Mario and Mallow had to follow Geno through the Forest Maze, which eventually led them to this place, where they found the second Star Piece.
As you can see on the map, the battlefield is quite long, and there are large ground areas on which you can fight easily. There aren't any real pits on the sides of the stage, but you can KO your opponents by knocking them off screen, to the left or to the right of the meadow. Obviously, star KOs are allowed.
On each side of the stage, though, there is a tree stump with a large hole in it. There were lots of stumps like those two in SMRPG, and Mario could jump inside them to reach the undergrounds of the forest. But this is Brawl, and if you fall in these holes, you'll be KOed. These small pits can be dangerous if you're not careful, so watch out!
In the center of the stage, as shown on the map, there is a larger stump, wide and flat. Actually, it's the stump on which were standing Mario, Mallow and Geno during the boss battle that took place in that meadow. This stump can be used as a platform, and it's a good place to fight! There are two extra wooden platforms hovering above the stage, too.
(Un)fortunately, there are several hazards in this stage. Bowyer can be seen in the background of the stage, watching the battle and taunting the players. Sometimes, he will grab one of the Aeros (arrow-like minions) hopping all around him, and will shoot it at the players with an amazing precision. Actually, Bowyer won't miss his target unless the players shields, rolls or dodges. When an Aero hits a foe, this foe will be paralysed and unable to move for three seconds!
Rarely, three big blue switches appear on the battlefield. On each switch is written something like "B", "B>", "B^", "Z", "A", etc... Bowyer then shoots an Aero at a random switch. When this happens, all the players will be unable to use the moves corresponding to the locked switch, for about ten seconds (for instance, if Bowyer shoots an Aero at the "B" switch, the players will be unable to use their neutral B move for ten seconds).
Wigglers, Buzzers and Amanitas can be seen as cameos in the background of the stage.

What makes Forest Maze so popular among SMRPG fans is, above all, the background music!! Lots and lots of remixes of this song were done, and this one looks really suitable for SSBB!! Please listen to this song
