Name: Timber
Game: Diddy Kong Racing, 1996
Stats:
Speed: 5/10
Strength: 5/10
Jump: 5/10
Fall: 3/10
Size: 6/10
Weight: 5/10
Traction: 4/10
Timber is a slightly non-basic character, as he was in the game of his origin. He is perfect for beginners just learning to fly, and willing to leave the nest for the first time.
Up B: Zipper Jump - A ring zipper (the ones used in airplain races) appears just below Timber, and he falls into the center of it. He pauses for a moment, and then blasts upwards engulfed in purple flame.
B: Magnemissle - Timber pulls out the Magnet item from Diddy Kong Racing. If a foe is in range, the magnet will connect to the foe with an electrically-styled charge and pull Timber towards the foe. Timber collides with the foe, damaging them and sending them back a bit. Occasionally he'll unleash the Super Magnet, which has double knockback and it's range is the entire stage. If more then one foe is in range, Timber simply rockets towards the nearest one.
Smash B: Tigerboost - Timber launches in a direction engulfed in blue flames. The attack has very little knockback, but causes burn damage. Occasionally two other flames: purple and orange will show up. Orange flames are weak, causing a simple flinch of the foe and little damage, as well as covering very little distance. The purple flame however, launches you further, does more damage, and has moderate knockback. Additionally, in a nod to the game itself, letting go of the B button just as your flame begins to spark will engulf Timber in green flames, launch him a bit further then the purple flames (but at a much faster rate), damage and knockback foes more, and release a rainbow-colored smoke that when inhaled (contacted) by foes, causes them to become stunned (disabled.)
Down B: Ring Shield - Timber utilizes the Ring Shield from DKR. This shield doesn't deflect attacks, instead it simply nullifies them into nothingness. The ring can take three hits before being broken. It takes time to unbreak or level the shield back to the next strength, but it's done in the same manner as waiting for the Wario Waft to charge. The shield starts as the green Super Shield, after taking a hit it becomes the gold medium shield, and finally the blue basic shield. The gold shield halves the damage taken, and nullifies flinching, but damage is still taken. I'll check the colors later.
Final Smash: Racing Stripes - Timber boards his airplane, from which you can launch homing missles with little damage but immense knockback, a nice foil to his usually low-knockback attacks.
In the end, Timber is more of a damage-builder then a killer.
Taunt: Roars non-threateningly (think the way he roars when you select him. A playful "rawr!")
Entrance: Appears in a puff of Taj's magic smoke.
