Name: Meowth Game: Pokemon Red/Blue Year: 1998 Stats Speed: 4/5 Power: 2/5 Jump: 5/5 Fall: 3/5 Size: 2/5 Weight: 2/5 Traction: 1/5 Moves Up-B Slash: Pounces upwards with his claws extended to slash his enemy. B Payday: Attacks enemies with spinning coins (like getting him in a Pokeball in SSB64). Side-B Thief: Rushes forward with a quick slash to knock his target backwards. If someone is holding an item, he steals it, but deals less damage. Down-B Fury Swipes: Pounces on his enemy and savagely slashes at their faces 4 times. Extreme Faint Attack: Plays the cute and helpless card to draw an enemy in, then pounces at them and digs his front claws into them as he kicks them savagely with his hind claws extended, then finishes by savagely ripping his front claws out of their bodies. In memory of our the dearly departed Mr. Teeny. May the fires of Hell leave you unscathed.Taunt Spins around, points a claw to the camera and says "MEOWTH!" Image Try as I might, I can't get rid of Slash. It's impossible. I'm trying to keep it from being lame as best as I can. Don't eat my head.

Maybe Fury Swipes is better than Fury Cutter for Meowth?
Thief is so Meowth, I can't tell why it hasn't become a level-up move for Meowth in the games. A nice reference to the way of acting of Team Rocket's Meowth.
As for anything else, I can't give more ideas until I play D/P. I suspect Blade Test could be a good substitute for v+B.
I think many other Pokémon moves could be used for A moves, which makes Meowth very suitable to be a SSB fighter.

Corinth should challenge both ideas (He once made a Perfect Meowth Submission at SBO Forums.)

Whoops! Wrong word. The Extreme was supposed to be Fury Swipes. My mistake, I'll go fix that.
Now, I know Slash sucks. I was running out of ideas.

Corinth should challenge both ideas (He once made a Perfect Meowth Submission at SBO Forums.) Nah, for some reason I don't feel like submitting things right now XD. As for the moveset, I don't think Faint attack works like that. Faint attack is when the user plays dead. When the opponent comes near him, the user attacks in suprise. Down B should be renamed to Fury swipes. Whatever, this is better than Phinos's IMO

You'd think I wasn't expecting that. I had another move in mind but Meowth can't use it (the move would be Pursuit, which would be much more pure.) It's just the name, really. Just give me one of his moves that WOULD work like that and I'll change the attack name. As for Fury Swipes, that's the Extreme (well, it's gonna be anyway, I forgot to make that edit), and the Down-B, like I said, I was desperate and running out of ideas.

Eh...no. This are rather basic moves..if you know what I mean.

Slash is the only one that counts as basic. The entire submission I was trying to avoide boring, lame, basic moves. It was tough, but I got it to work. Slash? Sure, I was pushing it, but I ran out of moves! As I said in seriously every post I've made! Everything else is quite good as a special attack! Thief? Seriously! It's him! It's special! Payday? Go play SSB64! "Faint Attack?" Well, what do you expect, him to just fart and lift himself upwards? Fury Swipes? Well, if that's not how it'd work, how WOULD it?

Yeah, it's just that I hate normal type moves. Also, according to Pokemon: Advanced Battle, Meowth can use thunderbold, Ice beam, and others.

Yeah, but in the games, you'd need a Machine for that, Ansur, and those moves AREN'T very Meowth.
Also, Payday and Fury Swipes, while Normal Type, are very Meowth and work very well in position. It's like removing Yoshi's Eat from his moveset just because it's a close-range attack. The Faint Attack and Thief are Dark Type, and I'm gonna mention Slash because it was a desperation choice.

They said that Arbok evolves into Seviper XD. Animé recurrent things would be worth it IMO. Still, even though I've not watched the full Advanced Battle season, I bet Ansur is talking about a random Meowth that appeared there, am I wrong? That "Arbok -> Seviper" thing was obviously a production error... A horrible one .

Hang on, I just thought of a change I could make. Something that could make Meowth much more pure with these moves. Since Phinos won round 1, time for the next try.
