Submitting Pokémons as characters is often a problem: since there are more than 350, it's always delicate to decide which ones should be submitted, and which one should not. However, Meowth deserves IMO a submission, because he is really popular. He had his own trophy in SSBM, and can be seen in almost every episode of the Pokémon anime, for he is the favourite Pokémon of Jessie and James (Johans may confirm this, I know he loves the anime).

B: Cat Punch
B>/<: Scratch
B^: Fury Swipe
Bv: Screech
Cat Punch: Meowth gives a short-range punch in front of him, that deals 10% damage to the opponent. If this attack successfully hit a player, one or two items will be dropped onto the ground. Sometimes, it will be coins for the Lottery instead. Most of the times, it's a rather weak item (Food, Fan, Umbrella...).
Scratch: Meowth steps forward, slashing three times the air in front of him with his claws. The first slash damages for 7%, the second damage for 10%, and the last one damages for 12%. This move has a rather short range, but if you manage to hit your opponent two or three time,s it can be powerful. This is, more or less, like a mix between Bowser's Koopa Klaw and Marth's Dancing Blade.
Fury Swipe: Meowth leaps upward, making a powerful slash above his head with his claws ablaze. The attack deals 14% damage. However, it's not really a good recovery move, but Meowth largely makes up for that with his excellent jump abilities (check his Status). This move is a semi-clone of Roy's up B move.
Screech: Meowth shrieks a strident miaowing, that creates sound waves all around him. Any opponent touched by the sound waves surrounding Meowth will get 5% damage and will be stunned for 3 seconds, or until he gets hit.
[glow=red,2,300]EXTREME![/glow]
Pay Day: This is probably Meowth's most famous ability. The coin on Meowth's forehead will glow, and a huge rain of coins will fall from the sky during 6 seconds (it may seem short, but in a game such as SSBB, it is rather long). Each coin damages for 25% every opponent hit, so it can deal heavy damage to all playe'rs on screen. And even better: each coin that hits an opponent will be added to your total number of coins for the Lottery (ex: 5 coins hit the players= you get 5 extra coins for the Lottery).
[glow=red,2,300]Taunt[/glow]
Meowth pulls out an electric guitar, and plays a few notes.
[glow=red,2,300]Entrance[/glow]
Meowth comes out of a Pokéball.
