Every so often. It's a bit tricky for me, but I can.

I'm pretty good at it, even though sometimes I jump, instead of sliding.

A wave dash is a move that passes the physics of the game. You air-doge really low to the ground, so your opponent is incapable of attacking you. It's impossible to even see a glimpse of the move. It's mainly used for dodging.

I've never done it before. It's too hard.

It takes time to learn it, just try with Luigi, he is really easy to wave dash with.

Yes. Wavedash is second nature for me when playing Melee. If the character can do it well of course.

I can do it, but I don't. I'm not a big fan of using all those advanced techniques. I'd rather play the game to have fun with it, not just to get good at it. Not trying to offend anybody that does use those, that's just me.

It's quite easy to do if you use it into a slanted surface like the pipes in Yoshi's Island while playing as a low-traction character like Luigi. If you don't know how to do it, I'd start there.

It's kinda interesting when they run backwards along ledges. Kinda like a Matrix move. I'll try to see who's better than whom in the clones for Wave-dashing. Currently, I only have the Marth-Roy set. Roy's easier to do it with for me. I'd experiment, though, you may find the opposite to be true for you.

Not trying to offend anybody that does use those, that's just me. 90% of people who wavedash or use ANY advanced techniques in Smash play for the fun of a high end, fast paced match. Of course there's the other 10% of assholes who just want to win. *Cough*Rukario*cough* You may be angling the analog stick poorly or something. Marth has long been regarded as the best wavedasher in the game behind Luigi and the Ice Climbers. Easy to learn, but hard to master and utilize at the most dire moments of a battle.

Hm. Probably. While experimenting on the Yoshi's Island pipes I did figure out the angle, though, and tried often with both characters. Personal experience found that Roy was easier to use. Marth may be a better wave-dasher for what I know, I just find that wave-dashing with Roy is easier to exploit.
Anyways, my big problem with wave-dashing is that it's just not very helpful to me. I find no use for it. I'm good with it, I just have no use for it. I fight too defensively, even with my top offensives, Mewtwo and Jigglypuff.

Wavedash has too many uses for me to explain in one post without rambling needlessly to the point where nobody will read this.
But, some key uses of the wavedash are based mainly on whether or not the specific character even has a good wavedash and how they fight. For example wavedashing is practically a must for Marth because creating distance to do the highest possible amount of damage with Marth is key to using him. Other characters like Mario need to be in a certain close range to hit characters but at the same time they can't be there the whole time or they'll get pummeled. Then of course there's the fact that wavedashing is faster to perform (if you can do it correctly) than rolling and far less predictable to determine on where the opponent is going. It also helps that you can wavedash when you hit the ground/platforms which makes it a good method to carry on combos or even evading them.
